چکیده

Plant B-BOX (BBX) zinc finger transcription factors play crucial roles in growth and development the stress response. Although BBX family has been characterized various plants, systematic analysis watermelon is still lacking. In this study, 25 ClBBX genes were identified. ClBBXs grouped into five clades (Clade I, II, III, IV, V) based on their conserved domains phylogenetic relationships. Most of (84%) might be localized nuclei or cytoplasm. The classification was consistent with gene structures. They unevenly distributed nine chromosomes except for Chr4 Chr10, largest number six members Chr2. Segmental duplications major factor expansion. Some BBXs Arabidopsis evolved from a common ancestor. total, 254 hormonal stress-responsive cis elements discovered promoters. differentially expressed tissues, expression levels ClBBX15 16 higher aboveground tissues than roots, while patterns ClBBX21a, 21b, 21c, 28 30b opposite. With salicylic acid, methyl jasmonate salt conditions, 17, 18 exhibited significant changes, respectively. addition, many ClBBXs, including ClBBX29b, 30a 30b, also responsive to cold osmotic stress. summary, simultaneous response multiple abiotic suggests that they may have functional interactions hormone network. Clarifying key transcriptional regulation mediating protein will an important task. Our comprehensive characterization provides vital clues in-depth biological functions signaling pathways.

Identification and expression analyses of WRKY genes reveal their involvement in growth and abiotic stress response in watermelon (Citrullus lanatus)

Despite identification of WRKY family genes in numerous plant species, a little is known about WRKY genes in watermelon, one of the most economically important fruit crops around the world. Here, we identified a total of 63 putative WRKY genes in watermelon and classified them into three major groups (I-III) and five subgroups (IIa-IIe) in group II. The structure analysis indicated that ClWRKYs...

Global Expressions Landscape of NAC Transcription Factor Family and Their Responses to Abiotic Stresses in Citrullus lanatus

Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) is one xerophyte that has relative higher tolerance to drought and salt stresses as well as more sensitivity to cold stress, compared with most model plants. These characteristics facilitate it a potential model crop for researches on salt, drought or cold tolerance. In this study, a genome-wide comprehensive analysis of the ClNAC transcription factor (TF) family ...

Comprehensive analysis of trihelix genes and their expression under biotic and abiotic stresses in Populus trichocarpa

Trihelix genes play important roles in plant growth and development and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. Here, we identified 56 full-length trihelix genes in Populus trichocarpa and classified them into five groups. Most genes within a given group had similar gene structures and conserved motifs. The trihelix genes were unequally distributed across 19 different linkage groups. Fifteen ...

Genome-Wide Analysis of C2H2 Zinc-Finger Family Transcription Factors and Their Responses to Abiotic Stresses in Poplar (Populus trichocarpa)

BACKGROUND C2H2 zinc-finger (C2H2-ZF) proteins are a large gene family in plants that participate in various aspects of normal plant growth and development, as well as in biotic and abiotic stress responses. To date, no overall analysis incorporating evolutionary history and expression profiling of the C2H2-ZF gene family in model tree species poplar (Populus trichocarpa) has been reported. P...

Identification and Expression Analysis of Two Arabidopsis LRR-Protein Encoding Genes Responsive to Some Abiotic Stresses

AbstractTwo Arabidopsis thaliana genes, psr9.2 and psr9.4 appearedto be highly similar to a phosphate-starved induced gene,psr9, isolated from Brassica nigra suspension cells.Sequence analysis classified the encoded polypeptides asmembers of leucine-rich repeat (LRR) proteins superfamily. The sequence of psr9 proteins comprise a unique N-terminalregion e...
